3rd Trimester!!

And we're in the HOME STRETCH!! That's right, she's in her 3rd trimester now! The end is in sight, yet, it seems like there's so much left to do. Updated Pics!

The past weekend, we finally got around to taking down the Christmas tree. (I prefer it to come down right after New Years) That same day, I put together our brand new baby crib! We took the Christmas tree and ornaments back to Kim's parent's house, and brought back the crib mattress. We then proceeded to put all the bedding and toys in/on the crib so we could take pictures of the finished product.

We still have to get both dressers over here from her parent's house though, so we can start washing and organizing the baby clothes that we have. Speaking of baby clothes, we went shopping at the Outlet Mall in Niagara Falls over the weekend as well. We got 2 hooded fleeces from Old Navy for $3.99 each! After stopping at several other baby clothing stores with no luck, we hit the jackpot at Carters for Kids! They had a bunch of racks full of sleepers, onesies and various outfits from $3-$7! We ended up with like 8 or 9 items for $42 after tax! WOOHOO!!

It appears that Kim will end up having 3 baby showers, 2 here and one with my family back home. Generally, her church throws expectant moms a baby shower for the general church community, and her aunt is planning a smaller, more intimate shower for family and close friends. My mom also wants to have a shower for Kim, but due to weather concerns, we've asked her to wait and have it AFTER the baby is born, so that we can be assured of no snow or icy roads. We also figured it would be a good way for everyone in the family to get to see the baby! My cousin Jodie, and her brother Jamie's wife, Tiffany, are also pregnant and due within TWO WEEKS of Kim. With that said, we also figured waiting would help eliminate scheduling conflicts with other showers for them. Unfortunately, my mom hasn't been terribly receptive on the idea thusfar.

Usually 3 months would seem like a lot of time before something happens. But when that something is your first baby, it seems like the clock is in fast forward and the days are coming and going faster than you can keep track! We're both starting to feel the time constraints as we keep chipping away at all the little things that need to be done yet.

We continue to pray that our collective sanity holds strong for the last 3 months of the journey to parenthood...
